You really can't go wrong with either because they are both a lot of fun for any age. All of Disney's parks offer something for every age, but EPCOT is the best for older kids. Even the rides that are made more specifically for young children can be fun for older children, depending on what they like.

Age doesn't necessarily determine which park is going to be best. What really matters is what type of rides the kids enjoy. If you prefer more thrill rides and coasters, then I would go with Universal. If you like a few rides that are somewhat thrilling, but not like a big coaster or anything and then several more easy going rides, then I would say Disney. Again, both parks are a lot of fun, but quite different.

Also, if you are trying to stay within a budget, Universal usually offers the lower cost tickets, especially if it is going to be a shorter pass. The longer passes at Disney is where you will start to see some discounts.

I think the best thing to do is just look over the rides at each park and decide what will be best for your situation.

Have a great time, wherever you choose to go!

Which disney park are you thinking about? Universal Studios is great for kids that age but Disneys MGM Studio is about the same thing, same types of rides and they have the Rockin Rollercoaster! and the Tower of Terror! I have been to both and say if you choose Disney MGM is the best choice over the other parks unless you go to a water park. They are equal unless you get a hopper pass where you can go to all the Disney parks and Universals hopper oly has 2 parks!

BOTH! You can't pick one. Disney world is an experience unlike any other, you are like.. Transformed into a Magical world of Fairy Tales and Make Believe. It really is the happiest place on earth. But Islands of Adventure (Universal Studios) if you like Roller Coasters, that is the place to be. It brings you right into the Comic Book and makes you believe you are flipping thru the pages!!

OMG! Pleeze. Universal is way better thanDisney!
We did both and I was WAY more pleased for all of the money I spent at Universal. Disney sucked IMO. I have four kids and the youngest in 8 and he loved Disney but in my opinion Disney is NOT what it used to be. You get WAY more for your money and you have a better time at Universal!

Universal is definately aimed more toward older kids. it has more fast, adventurous rides. But disney can also be fun, as long as the kid can deal with small children and disney princesses running around all over the place.

Universal Studios is WAY better for kids over 14. They have better rides for old kids.

My kids are in their late teens and they prefer Univeral Studios. Actually Islands of Adventures to be more specific. There are more thrill rides and the park is smaller so they get a lot done in a short period of time.
