How many threats can you make before you lose credibility? At what point did they say, "Hmmm ... Saddam is not listening."

...and at what point will they decide Iran is not listening? And then what will they do?

The UN is corrupt and it is not working we are not going to get anything from the UN. Did you know that we pay for 25% of the UN's operating fees that more than half of any other country for what to have our leader called the Devil on our own soil. We have never gotten anything done in the UN and we never will. And people like Saddam and the Ayatollah Homanie don't need credibility they are dictators all they need is to be in total control of their countries.

"They", at least some of them think we should still be talking with dear ol' Saddam, they don't get it, never will. Hell, they'd still be talking with Hitler too (just like 1936-1939 and after), even after invading Poland lots of the English didn't want war and believed that Hitler would honor his promises.

People are basically ignorant, and I fear STUPID as well.

Ok, what might get peoples attention? When Iran or Syria, or both drop a bomb on Israel. Or a terrorist gets a dirty bomb or three to help the NYC economy some more. OR most likely only when someone THEY KNOW and love is killed or it directly affects their pocketbook.

Thinking that nations like this "have a right to possess" nuclear weapons when they are backward savages, is too scary to even be believed by a stupid person. They must truly, in the literal sense, be morons.....OR aiding and abetting the enemy.

I think, short of atomic bombs being tossed around the Middle East and the western capitals of the world, it will take the army of Iran marching down the Champs Elysees (AGAIN) after they conquer France. Then the rest of Europe might say, "oh gee, we had no idea" The French would be very upset indeed if the Islamic terrorists destroyed their wine supply.

The U.N. has no credibility. Its like trying to chase a lion away with a fly swat. That is evident by the multitudes of UN resolutions that countries and dictators around the world have blown off as an annoyance. How long will it take for them to figure it out? Not until the money train pulls out of the station and leaves them hi and dry. What would happen if we pulled our money from the UN and told them to go camp out in another country? They would fade into the sunset and never be heard from again. The UN is a joke and nothing more.

What will the UN do to a reinvigorated and powerfully influenced Iran?

Pass more useless resolutions.

Even the US...all we can do is bark and yap harmlessly at them.

(And no...Iraq wasn't a terrorist breeding ground before we invaded. It is now--thanks to Bush's incompetence.)

Well Joe, the UN resolutions were not for US to pick what to do! The UN has a protocol that before you attack any one YOU NEED THE APPROVAL OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL!!

Bush never went there to get the proper permission because he would have been shot down and he knew it! Bush chose to go against International law and unilaterally attack a sovereign nation, which is against International Law! Bush does that often as he doesn't think laws or treaties were meant for him!

Now give me one reason to attack Iraq? Saddam was a bad guy! Well so is Bush!

Going to war with Iraq was also a fight to save UN credibility... they should thank us.
