flamingoes have few predators due to the environment they live in -- highly caustic salt lakes of which few other animals can tolerate the conditions. In Africa fish eagles, marabou storks, hyaenas and baboons all take adult or young birds when they can. These predators have little impact on the population because the flocks are so huge and they prey only at the periphery. The birds' biggest problems come from the weather (such as in drought conditions) and, sadly, from humans.

I have seen video of baboons, sea eagles, and hyenas prey on them. I am sure that other predators take them when the opportunity presents itself. They usually live far from shore in very toxic lakes that limits predators to fewer opportunities.

I fail to see why the first answer garnered two " thumbs down ", since the answer had a correct data point; baboons do take Flamingos, when they can. Rather a recent development for them. Used by social scientist to prop up " learned behavior " ideology, though baboons are evolved to hunt small game.
