No, not really. They're not strippers anyway. It's okay for children to watch this show. Although sometimes, I find the dancers weird. They dance for like, after every question. Haha.

It isn't much for the dancers' scandalous clothes and dance numbers that I am against children's viewing that program.
I don't like Wowowee because of the way the presenter / emcee handles the audience participating in the program. He and other program coordinators make it appear that the program is being kind to its contestants and audience by giving away money or prices, but there is a submilinal insult, like a subtle attack to the dignity of those poor folks trying to win a little price for whatever basic needs they want it for. They make the audience and contestants look miserable and the viewing public resentful of their antics.
Hence, I don't view that program that much. More often when I have the chance, I watch the GMA program Eat Bulaga! To me it is more wholesome. I am a Kapuso fan. Hahaha. Don't shoot me.

I love to watch wowowee.
To be honest, I do love to watch some of the prettiest and sexiest filipina's on this earth dance and perform.
In my opinion, The show is family enterainment.
The dancers are performers that make the show very lively and fun.
To me, The dancers are not performing in a way that is sexual arousing.
If you feel aroused by the performers then I think you have strong imagination by the way they dance along with their beauty.
In the U.S.A., they have a show called "soul train" with female dancers with very sexual provacative clothing and body movement that is indeed sexually arousing and NOT suitable for a younger audience.
I compare "wowowee" dancers to the "soul train" dancers,
I would rather let my daughters watch wowowee than soul train.
Wowowee dancers show part of the philippine culture and beauty for arts and entertainment. The dancers beauty is breath taking not in a sexual manner but in expressing a delight in filipino creation.
In fact, I hope the wowowee dancers become popular worldwide because they have the unique charisma and stage presence that could please a crowd.
They could represent Philippines very well if they are exposed in a positive light.
TO GAMEPLAN:
In my opinion, you have the best answer
You made a good point. I am now leaning toward your insight.
You are well seasoned and I enjoy your objections.
I think you are someone who can help a leader make good decisions.
Again, you maybe already be a leader.

Aside from the dancers, it's really not good for the children because it's dumb. They'll learn nothing from it but foolishness. It's a lame entertainment show.
Add:
Oh by the way, I like allan_y's answer: "performers on tv are testing the line between the arts and pornography", so true. Don't be a hypocrite and say those girls are there for art's sake, there's nothing artistic with their choreography, hideous dance steps to the cheapest form. Yet nobody's saying or teaching their child that dancing is a sin, what a ridiculous remark! Moral values shouldn't adapt to times, time should preserve morality. The 10 commandments in Moses' tablets are still applicable to this day... don't tell me it's ok to kill somebody, to covet somebody else's wife? Don't try to justify something wrong by twisting things around, or that is what you call perversion.
Add:
Also I'd like to quote this one: "host who doesn't even care for his family, so how do you expect him to deliver a good show for the whole family?", excellent point.

personally i think it is a bad influence. there's honestly no real need for these dancers anyway, except to attract more attention with their revealing clothes. it's so unbearably annoying. especially how it just always focuses on young females to do those dances that are sexually suggestive in a certain way.
i don't think it's a good influence having those wowowee dancers. it should be a family show, and with children watching these beautiful women, little girls would want to wear revealing clothes and believe they can be on TV this way if they wear clothes like them, and dance like that.

it can be pretty provocative how they dance as well as what they wear but if i had kids i wouldnt mind them watching it as long as i was watching it with them. at least theyre not grinding and rubbing their butts on others (though i wouldnt mind them doing that to me though lol)
i find it more annoying when willie asks the prettier girls in the audience to do a 'sexy' boom tarat tarat. like people wouldnt want to see a senile 80 year old grandma with no teeth doing the boom tarat tarat in a sexy way lol

Personally I enjoy watching the show--Don't understand much of what is being said but am trying to learn.
I think the dancers are more tame than risque but if you feel that its no good for children then, simple don't let them watch it.
"the ultimate window into the kaleidoscopic lives of real Filipinos"
"to the horny foreigners with their internet-ordered brides by their sides."
Since when are horny foreigners considered real Filipino's?

I noticed that too! I think the show should be rated " With Parental Guidance." The dancing attire is too revealing.

No, I think that people need to see past these archaic principles of prudeness and join the 21st century. It's not 'bad' that children see attractive women dance on stage. What actually makes the harmless act of dancing 'bad' are people who indoctrinate children with the stupid idea that dancing is a sin or that it is evil.
I enjoy Wowowee because in my mind, as an American obssesed with Southeast Asian culture, watching Wowowee affords me the ultimate window into the kaleidoscopic lives of real Filipinos--from the arrogant balikbayans, to hard working OFW's, to its desperate elders, to the hopeful youth, to the horny foreigners with their internet-ordered brides by their sides. Real life for pinoys, uncensored.
