This is how your weight gain should be: 1trimester 3-4 lbs, 3-4 every month after that. You may gain more now andless later. As long as your doctor is telling you its ok its ok! Exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am due Aug 19. I have not felt the fluttering or anything yet and I have not had any stretch marks. Again exercising and eating healthy are you best defense against excessive weight gain, stretch marks and cellulite

I`m due August 3rd with a baby girl ! I started to feel the baby at 17 weeks but this is also my 3rd(and last) baby. So if your feeling fluttering then you are probably felling the baby! I am 21 weeks and have gained a total of 7 pounds so far, so I would say your weight gain is fine...As for the cramping, most likey normal, it`s kinda hard to say without a description but if your really worried then call your doctor!! I never seen any stretch marks until after baby was born but there was only a few and they do fade over time..Try using Palmer's cocoa butter cream for stretch marks..it helps out alot! Congrats and Good Luck!!

The stretch marks aren't on my belly but on my legs, and they've been there 2-3 months (I'm 31 weeks now). I was having some cramping feelings around that time but didn't go to the doctor because they went away when I rested for a while. You probably are feeling the baby. I started feeling the baby around 16-17 weeks but it can be hard to tell at first if it's the baby or just gas. In 2 or 3 weeks it'll be obvious and by 28 weeks or so you'll be able to see the baby's body parts stretching the skin on your belly as they go by! 10 pounds sounds good to me too--I'd gained at least that much by 18 weeks.

This is such an exciting time....Stretch marks are not a given. It depends on the elasticity of your skin. I have 3 children & never any stretch marks..... It may be fluttering now, but as baby grows you'll actually be able to feel feet. As for the weight gain... it needs to happen, but you want to eat a healthy diet and not go overboard on eating. Probably around 25 pounds total gain at term is good, but people do vary in how much they gain. Hope you have a great pregnancy and wonderful baby.

In the first trimester most woman should loose weight because the baby and the fluid dont weigh enough yet, if you gain weight in the first trimester its because your boobs have grown, or you are eating more, and or excerising less, or the wrong foods, a little bit of weight gain is ok a couple of kilos in the first 4 months, but try not to put on too much because later its hard to take off they say from 9 to 13 kilos throughout the pregnancy, after 4 months one kilo per month is a healthy size, afetr the first trimester babies grow at different rates, so its around the fourth month that women fluctuate, whilst in the first three most women should be stable or loose...
Fluttering at 18 is super normal I have been feeling mine since 16 weeks kind of like an octupus swirling around
The non hurting cramping can be braxton hicks contractiosn which are normal, but they shouoldnt hurt, I thought I had braxton hicks, but mine hurt.. but today I went to the doctor and it turns out they are real contractions, they have given me tablets to slam them down so I dont abort the baby.
Stretch marks can happen at any tiem if you gain alot of weight quickly best way to avoid them is to put loads of vitamin E oil on your belly and breasts each night, eat well so you dont gain weight liek crazy, just eat healthy. Apart from that there isnt much more you can do.
Best of luck with it all

You are doing good Mommy! I never got any stretch marks. I didn't gain alot of weight in the begining and I only gained 35 lbs in all. I felt my baby moving at 19 weeks. If you are worried about stretch marks get some Palmers Cocoa Butter and use it religiously. I don't know if that is what did it for me but I look like I was never pregnant. Minus my wider hips! Good Luck!

The crampish feeling you are having is probably round ligament pain, but you should still bring this up to your doctor.
As for stretch marks, I seriously thought I was home free with only a couple on my one boob, but then week 37 hit and all I can say is my poor belly.

Stretch marks are different for every person,it depends how much you gain and how quicky. The cramping is normal as long as it doesn't get painful, the flutter may very well be the baby moving. Every person gains different amounts of weight at different points of their pregnancy, your doctor will tell you if he is concerned.
