Sometimes when I am drivong my car, it will suddenly loose power for a second, and cuts out real quick, and when it does, the check engine light pops on for a second, the tachometer moves up or down really quick, and the speedometer drops about 10 or more mph, and goes right back up...even if I don't slow down 10 mph. Sometimes this happes repeatedly, one after another.....but sometimes I can drive it miles and not have it happen once. What could be wrong with my vehicle?

the power (electricity i mean) is intermittently disconnecting. You either have a loose battery connection or one of the cables has an intermittent short. Tighten and replace the cables before driving over any more big bumps.

i own a repair shop ,and you may have an ignition switch going out on it,i replaced one this week over that problem, this seems to be a popular problem with some of the jeeps, that and bad ground wires on them, either one will cause this to happen,i did have a jeep and sold it,and the day the guy come to look at it the key switch acted up on it,i did replace it and then sold it but id check that first, hope this helps.good luck with it.
