I think the first poster eldorado been sniffing the glue bag. All 07's softails are fuel injected. I think his bud at easy rider's been huffing the bag too. First off needles from an old XL will not fit on any twin cam with a carb. To keep legit with your warranty with the m.o.c.o., get a stage 1 kit and H/D mufflers. Pay the dealer to do it (so you keep your warranty) and he'll probably throw in the re-mapping of your computer. Most dealers charge about 150 bucks to map. Your scooter will run better, sound good, have a little more power and you'll actually pick up a couple of m.p.g.'s on gas.

Change out the pipes. Getting rid of the stock pipes on ANY bike lets the engine breath better, which means better performance. Your MPH may not increase, but your HP certainly will.

Since your bike is fuel injected (as all Harleys are now) you're going to need to install a Power Commander with your pipes and have it mapped out. Your H-D dealership can do it, but you can get the same quality job at a lower price if you find a good indy shop that can do the work.

The Harley Softail with the Evo 1340 motor is an fairly solid bike. I easily have a 'ninety 9 Softail Springer and that is been incredibly much bulletproof and has 33,000 miles on it. Did placed man made oil in mine and the rocker container gaskets leaked and that i had to interchange them. I replaced them with Cometic gaskets and have not had a concern on account that making use of the replace oil. With 13,000 miles on it i might suspect the owner has replaced the exhaust and had the carb rejetted. inventory motorcycles without that achieved are few and much between. exchange all the fliuds; accepted, transmission and engine oil and filter out till the owner has a written receipt it replaced into achieved those days. make helpful to apply the older oil filter out (H-D area # 63796-77A) and not the recent 5 micron one for the twin cam motorcycles. The oil gadget isn't set up for the finer filtering of the extra moderen filter out and there must be an oil circulate concern interior the direction of the filter out. The filters have a bypass mechanism yet while that occurs your bike isn't getting that is oil filtered. exchange those fluids regulary (2500 miles for the filter out and engine oil and 5000 miles for the accepted and transmission oil) and that bike will final you for quite some time. Get a save instruction manual and look with the aid of it and you will discover that with in basic terms slightly mechanical skill you could take care of the bike your self saving a large style of $$$'s over the years.

All the '07s are FI.
Remap your fuel / air curves, either with a download or a fuel controller. Power commanders seem to be popular, they get recommended a lot. I run a Techlusion stealth unit. I read somewhere else you already changed to a K&N air filter, have you done anything to the exhaust? All 3 affect each other.

u need a power commander, ecm remap, high flow air cleaner and pipe. u'll only gain at most 15% on hp, and that wont give much of anything speed wise. and all hd bikes are now fuel injected as of this model year. '06 was the absolute last year hd will put a carb on a bike.

I wouldn't do anything to it until the warranty ran out.I think the 07's are all fuel injectected so I don't think a Thunderjet would work on it.It wouldn't hurt to check them out though.A different air cleaner with more air flow might help some.

If it is carburated get a jet and needle jet for a 1989 sportster and put it in and change the mufflers to a free flowing type and get the "sreamin' eagle" breather kit also. If FI get it remapped and add te free flowingmufflers / exhausts
