The old Democratic party of FDR and JFK has been hijacked by the far left america hating communists.
Liberals don't realize that FDR and JFK would be staunch conservatives by today's standards. In fact, they would make Ann Coulter look like Noam Chomsky.
Today's liberals hate our military with a passion and will do everything to undermine their efforts. God help us if they win in 2008. Terrorists will love that.

Agree. It is sick that they only way they can pass their hate the troops bill is to add so much pork to it! They can't even get their own libs to vote for it without a bribe. How dumb are these guys, since it is obvious that Bush will veto this travesty. Just like when they BEGGED Bush to let them vote to approve the war because they thought that was the politic thing to do back them.

I come from a family which has put men in the United States Armed Forces in every conflict since the War of 1812 - how about your family?
I have performed thousands of hours of volunteer service to my community. My family has contributed thousands and thousands more. Those of us who don't have a medical condition that proscribes the activity are blood donors. How many gallons have you donated, chum?

First of all pork barrelling is common, even with Republicans. This is out in the media, that's why you are all in an uproar about it. It's usually not. Second, you are wrong about this damaging the Democratic party. The people wanted them to do something about our troops and they have. The people are happy.

They don't hate America, these are attempts to make the Bush administration look bad. They can say, look Bush sends them over there without proper equipment blah blah blah. Some Democrats are still great, their names are Zell Miller and Joseph Lieberman. They care about our people. I would totally vote for Zell Miller over any Republican.
