I have experienced Sleep Paralysis since I was 5 (didn't find out that's what it was until I was in my 20's). I read an article at Yahoo today about Alien encounters and they mentioned how sleep paralysis could be an explanation. When I have sleep paralysis, I know I am having it, so I know whatever I 'see/hear' is not really there...I know some people randomly experience it once or twice in their life, so they may not realize what is happening, and think it's some kind of supernatural encounter. So if someone has never experienced an altered state of mind, they could easily confuse it and believe it to be real. I really do not think that aliens beam us up, poke and prod us with their high tech instruments and inject us with a curious green serum. I really think that people just don't realize they experienced temporary cerebral enlightenment. Ok that last sentence may not make sense, but you know what I am saying....Thoughts?
