This may be normal -- irregular bleeding is a side effect of the morning-after-pill. However, your girlfriend would be wise to see her doctor to get checked out just in case. She should also take a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks, as this pill is not 100% effective at stopping pregnancy.

If the bleeding does turn out to be just a side effect from the pill, her cycle should return to normal in a month or two. But please have her go get checked to be on the safe side.

I have taken the morning after pill a few times and most of the time it induced a period within a few days of taking it and I have never fallen pregnant - its worth getting a test though if you're worried and seeing a doctor as everyone's different. Cycle should return to normal in a month or two I would have thought, depending on how regular it was before.

It is normal for us girl to have more than one period in a month, especially when we're experiencing hormonal changes, and the morning after pill definetly has an effect on a girls hormones, so I wouldnt worry too much right now unless she has some symptoms which are really out of the ordinary but otherwise just let her body run its course and things should go back to normal. Good Luck

I trust Emily K. that's how the tablet works. And being on antibiotics makes the beginning manipulate tablet useless, now not being unwell. But I would not fear, you are saying you will have been at the tablet for eight months and that's lots lengthy sufficient for the tablet to be running accurately along with your process. And feeling unwell is ordinarily simply out of your tablets, many ladies suppose unwell after taking their tablet. Also, your cycle is on no account going to be the identical. Meaning one month you could suppose unwell such as you do at times subsequent month you perhaps entirely moody and feature cramps. Then the following month your breasts would possibly simply soreness, its on no account the identical. One of the numerous joys of womanhood LOL. And so far as the morning after tablet is going I would not trouble you will have been well with taking your tablet daily and even as. All the morning after tablet does is reset your frame clock. I've taken it earlier than, one tablet within the am and the opposite at night time earlier than mattress. It's simply intended to quit you from ovulating, it is like a robust beginning manipulate tablet. And your already at the tablet, so no issues. Hope this is helping. :o)
