What does it mean, or why do people, place a ! between words when describing something/someone on their blog?

For example:

Sad!John
Theater!Annie

It has probably morphed from a shorthand form generally seen in 'fandoms' to denote a particular dominant trait or interpretation of a character. The specific characterization appears before the ! and the character's name after.

In your examples, Sad!John would be a characterization of 'John' that is predominantly sad. Theatre!Annie would be the character of Annie as written for the stage as opposed to how the character was written for film or a book.

It is what makes sense to them.It my sound right to her/him.Or maybe it's just a mistake or they are just so used to typing '!' that it becomes a habit.
