fantastic question hon!
It depends on your age, your taste in movies and hollywood hunks. Judd Nelson was the ideal bad boy in that movie. And John Hughs didn't miss when he did teenage movies. If he missed, it wouldn't have been able to stand up all this time and be remembered.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is a classic for other reasons. Aundrey Hepburn was magnificent. The music, the words...the concept of the movie held up for a long time.
Since coming to YA here, I have noticed some people don't get the movie when they watch it. It is definately dated in so many ways. But...I cannot badmouth this movie. I really love it a lot. Not that I don't love Breakfast Club. It is terrific too. It is too hard to pick from the two. You have to pick the one that speaks to your soul most.

Tough one...I choose..The Breakfast Club.
I LOVE LOVE Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, but thats the ONLY thing I love about Breakfast at Tiffany's. All of her costars were lame, and the premise of the movie was awkward. I deeply enjoyed Hepburn's perfomance, and will watch it again, but the reason I love the Breakfast Club is because I am a teenager. I understand the complexities of each of the characters and empathized with them. Also, all of the actor's and actresses performances were stirring especially Ally Sheedy, whom I loved! Didn't you just scream with joy when she shook her dandruff onto her drawing? Or when Molly Ringwald applied lipstick with her boobs? Timeless!
