If you get a warrentee it may be fine for you, otherwise look at Toyota or Honda.
Good luck

If you're thinking of a Kia Spectra, why? Go with the tried and true ----> Toyota Corolla. These cars are very reliable and don't cost an arm and a leg.
Kia's do not have a very good record when it comes to reliability or resale value

i own a repair shop ,and been at this for 36 years, they are very reliable cars, they never give any major problems unless they have been abused, and that's why most people complain about them they cant treat them like crap ,and expect them to hold up,if there taken good care of like a normal car should be,they will last as long if not longer than the average car will, but over all id recommend one of those as much as i would anything else, good luck with it,hope this helps.

KIA is getting better but they still have manufacturing issues in terms of quality control. As the old saying goes "You get what you pay for" Good Luck

I disagree with previous answers - had KIA`s for 10 years
and they have never given me any problems.
Re-sale value is another thing, mostly because of people`s
stupidity.
