Well it depends on what you want from your speakers........
If It was me I would try a number of songs that brought out different qualities of the system, such as songs that have a lot of bass in it, songs that have a lot of treble (high) in it, then switch to a song where both are pretty equal. Then try a slow song to see how the tone and everything is on it. And maybe a fast one to see how good the responce is.

"Flight of the Valkyrie" by Wagner LOL
all of "The Planets" by Holst
classical stuff is pretty good for testing out the various ranges. personally, i dont really like to listen to classical stuff very often, but it's great to blast out as it goes through all of the ranges and is much clearer than other genres. if you go to the dollar store, you can buy a CD of classical stuff for about 1 ~ 2 dollars.
actually, you can find a lot of full orchestral classical stuff on college band websites. check them out!
you should probably try every style of music too. i would suggest "Never Had To Knock On Wood" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. that song is fun to blast

Well, it depends what type of music you like. Personally, I like to test them out with some rock with heavy bass like:

"Enter Sandman" by Metallica
"Welcome to the Jungle" Guns n Roses
