I always wanted to be a teacher but became an Instructional Assistant instead (basically a teacher's assistant). I realized soon after that I really can't stand kids though. I'm going to be a dental hygienist in 2 months and couldn't be happier!

Too many years to count... I'll just say that I recently celebrated my 40th b-day. Everything from 4th through 8th. All subjects to just middle school math. Regular ed., special ed, Title I, general music and gifted.
I love it all! I'm debating whether to continue in administration or as a technology specialist. That is why teaching is such a great profession. So many choices, too little time!

I've been teaching severely handicapped kiddos for 25 years, currently in a Jr. High school. My colleagues often admire me for what I do, and at times question my sanity....LOL
