For one thing, it is easy to guess, so if someone is trying to steal your identity, that might be the last thing between success and failure.

Never use easy to guess numbers such as all the same number, sequences, birthdates, part of SSN or address as a pin. Many companies won't let you use some of these patterns, but make it a habit to not use them at all. Stick to a number no one else could guess, such as the last four digits of your first girlfriend's telephone number or such.

Only a moron would choose something easy to guess. The guy that finds (or steals) your card will try 1234, 9999 and lazy combinations like that first. Never choose your birthday, address, phone number or anything that a thief may find in your wallet or purse.

Do you think a creative hacker might figure this one out? Use letters and #'s for better security.
