Politics - Always gets people's blood boiling.

Democrat or Republican or 'on the fence' - doesn't matter!

Tell 'em what you think of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, whatever. Go into the present admin. of the USA and 'hammer' them from your point of view! If you can't do some of this, you're completely out of touch! You can support them if you wish - consienciously, of course. You'd probably get a lot of flack right now for that, but maybe your 'district' has a rep. whose Republican and supports Bush. You can take his views to task or agree with him(her). In grade 10, one has to have some interest in what's going on in the world. 'nuff said.

I remember one time I wrote one on why we should be allowed to have our cellphones out at school. But if you can already have cellphones out then that might not be the best topic!!
