I have a Optorite DVD RW Drive and recently it will not open. I tried the little hole under the tray and nothing. I think that the tray is stuck. Do you know where/how I can fix this?

Is a disk in it? if so the disk may be stuck and a little prying with a tiny flat blade screwdriver may free it up. Lots of emphasis on the little prying - be careful ! If no disk in it then no prying but you should ask Optorite via the 'contact us' on their website.

They may be a disc, or a loose part jamming the drawer, if there is you may need to disassemble the drive, and remove the disc; however you can ruin it if you don't know what you are doing, so take it to a tech.

Usually an unravelled paperclip in the hole pops it open. You sure you pushed whatever you used in far enough? Do not use adhesive labels on the discs...they heat up, loosen and jam up the drive.

I've had to destroy drives to retrieve my disks. Thought being the disk was worth more than the old optical drive.
