Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, or just simply Michelangelo. Painter, Sculptor, architect, poet and engineer. Considered by many historians to be THE "Renaissance Man".

I'll give someone a million points if they can come up with someone from the Renaissance more talented than DiVinci.

His contribution to science alone, (especially anatomy) might be enough to make him #1.

If I had to name someone else, it would be French King Charles VIII who helped spread the Renaissance out of Italy after he invaded it.

But had their been no DiVinci, Charles would have had much less enlightment to spread. DiVinci might be the most talented human not named Newton who ever lived.

Pehaps a good candidate would be Michaelangelo who was painter and sculptor im the same time. Anothr would be Desiderious Erasmus, scolar and religious critic
