Thats the "fail-safe" element.
If we don't withdrawal, they can say they tried, and blame everything negative on Bush, If they suceed in forcing retreat, they can just blame the ensuing carnage on Bush as well as any inevitable future Jihaadist attacks.

of course they will blame bush.
Bird craps on a car? Bush's told the bird to do it.
Spill your coffee? Bush tripped you.
Dog got run over? Bush was driving the car.
Wife left you? Bush convinced her.
when is it not Bush's fault?
But my guess is the Dem's will do the same thing they did with Vietnam, run, ignore it, let millions die, wait for an influx of refugees then try to convince us the plight of the poor Iraqis is something we should worry about. Like what happened after Vietnam.
Some around here may be to young to remember the Cambodians and Vietnamese people who had to flee and came to this country right after the war, they came by any means necessary, if you think people coming from Cuba are brave you should see what these poor people had to endure to cross the pacific.
My home city hosts a large community of Vietnamese ex-patriots, men and women who fled and were given care and shelter and who now are American citizens.
But these are the same people the Democrats abandoned to their fates, but then wanted us to welcome them with open arms.
Democrats are a most caring bunch........
But of course their displacement... Bush's fault

Not all of them will blame Bush. Only the ones that survive the bloodbath.

I think that you asked a very good question and the answer is YES , they will blame Bush by saying the problems were to advanced to stop like a terminal disease because thats what the Democrats are treating the Iraq War like. The Democrats want us to believe that we have already lost.

Since we had no reason for going there in the first place, just who would you blame? Does anyone like to see the body bags of Americans being shipped home, the poor battered bodies of our troops being sent home without arms & legs, in wheelchairs ect? What are they giving their lives for; can anyone tell me? If you answer "To give them Democracy", I will tell you that is not our place to do so. They didn't ask us to come & give it to them, they don't seem to want it; why are we still there?
One thing that I am very angry about is the vote handed to the President today. This bill from Congress was full of "Pork" for the Congressmen/women to vote for the bill! BULL! If the only way to get them to agree to the bill was to give them Pork, then we don't need such a bill. Their vote was just to get them re-elected! Uncalled for & certainly not what this was to be about; it was to bring our troops home; if the only way they will stop the action is to get something for themselves, the President should Veto it! For Congress to say to the American people that this is what we voted them into office to do is a joke & not a very good one! We didn't vote them into office to ride the gravy train as they seem to think. If they really mean that this is what they want to stop the action in Iraq, then they should never get another vote from any American!

Of COURSE I will blame Bush for the bloodbath to come and the sectarian civil war he touched off when he invaded Iraq in the first place. This is Bush's war. I wish him the joy of it.

Dems won't get their way. President Bush will not let our Great Country fall to its knees because the Dems want to use our Troops as pawns for their little political game.

Two things:
It's a damn bloodbath now.
The Iraqis have to control this themselves. We DO need to train and support them but they must start carrying the bulk of the fighting NOW. We cannot be there forever.
