I've been working for a few years with the same company. My direct supervisor has just been amazing. She kind of reminds me of the tough but fair schoolteachers we remember fondly from grade school. She always expects my best work performance, but if I need anything special, like extra days off or a more comfortable chair or even a smile, she provides it immediately.

I would love to do something to really show her how much I appreciate everything she does. At the same time, I don't want to seem like a brown-noser.

Our relationship is based entirely in the office; we never hang out during work hours. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking her out for a meal or anything like that. Any ideas on a memorable way to say Thanks?

Give her a card or leave a note on her desk! Or tell her how you feel.

If possible, try sending her a thank you for being a great boss card to her home address. If you can't have or don't have access to her home address, try sending her a thank you for being a great boss card through the mail addressed to her at work.

She will appreciate the extra effort and thought.

Well...Something meroable could be a hand made cloth by you and a card. Some of the best things that were ever given to me were hand made. Or you could just get a card and a bouqet of flowers...=]

If you can find out what she likes you could put together a basket full of her favorite goodies. It's simple, fairly inexpensive and usually appreciated by most people. You sound like a great employee...which is why you have a great boss!

Even something as simple as a thank you card would go a long, long way with her, guaranteed. especially if you wrote something like "Thanks for everything you do" or something from the heart in it.

Gratitude just has to be genuine, not expensive.

get her a present that speaks. maybe something she really likes or wants.

if you already know it, then you can get it for her if it's affordable for you and if you dont know it, stylishly seek a way to find out!

a hand made gift is often appreciated too. it shows that one has put a lot of consideration into it
