I am in need of eyeliner help. When I use eyeliner it always smudges and looks terrible, comes off completely, looks unnatural, or just looks bad. What is the correct application to make it look like the magazine girls, or even just good? I like to but it on my inner eyelid as well, but it comes off almost immediately. Is there a way to make it stay on longer? Also, what colors should I use, and what kind? Kohl, liquid, or shadow? I have a pale completion, and blue/gray eyes. Can you tell me how to make them look like this:

Ok i do this almost every day and i had the same prob until my BFF told me how to do it right! All you have to do is pull doen the skin under ur eyr (where u get dark circles sometimes) then take ur eyeliner (make sure its sharp) and pull it along right on the border of thre inside of your eye and ur skin. then go over it a couple times. From there its easy just do the same thing buit on the top andd kinda around the sides. Its kinda uncomftorable applying it on the bottom at first but ull get used to it! Also NEVER use liquis all it does is smudge and smear. I would go with a plain black cuz u cant go wrong with it! Also Practice makes perfect so applty it often! GOOD LUCK! and i hope i helped!

well most people in the magazines have their makeup done by professionals. but....
the key to long lasting eyeliner is liquid eyeliner (although i think it is hard to apply straight) and then there is also smudge proof which works well to. just search your options there are a ton of different kind and everyone has their preference.
-now for making it look "good" it just takes practice. the more you apply it the easier and better it will be. practice makes perfect.
-as for color- i use a chocolate brown (Blue eyes) black eyeliner is good too but depending on your skin and hair color it might just wash you out.
-the picture you provided is good. they probably used liquid eyeliner(thick) and a smokey colored eyeshadow. the eyeliner is applied on top and bottom. and it lookes like they brushed a little or white shimmer on the bottom eye line and then of course mascara(top only)
thats as good as i can help you and all i can say is search your options it may take a few times until you find what you like and what works best for you. and just keep practicing(applying liner)
good luck!

Prop your elbow up on something when you line for more support. Use a good magnifying mirror. Pull you eyelid down firmly with one hand and line with the other. Go slowly. Kohl liners are easier to apply. Liquid liners are extremely tricky. You could always get a cake liner and a brush. Those tend to be pretty easy to apply, look professional, and are high quality. They can be sort of expensive though. I suggest the ones from Smashbox.

Use N.Y.C's eyeliner pencil in charcoal. Pull on the skin right below your eye and use the eyeliner on your lower lash line. Goe over it about 3 times and then use a q-tip to wipe away any extra eyeliner. For the eyelid just use a dark eyeshadow on your lash line, and finish with a coat of mascara. Done!

Well, the girls in the magazines only wear that eyeliner for about 15 minutes, so there is no way that could smear.
if you have issues with eyeliner smudging;; you should use waterproof khol liner or gel liner. i have found that those work the best!
Mandy Moore's make up just looks like black khol liner with a volumizing and lengthening mascara [MAX Factor Volume Couture and MAX Factor Lash Perfection -- $7] put one coat of Lash Perfection in Rich Black on, then put two coats of Volume Couture in Rich Black over the Lash Perfection.
For the bottoms of her lashes, just sweep one coat of Volume Couture on them.
The eyeshadow looks like a light navy/grey - ishhhhh color.
hope i helped!!!

you probably need to wear kohl eyeliner because it has more substance to it. try using bold colors that accentuate you eyes like maybe a bright turqoise or a hot pink. to fix the smudging problem, use water-proof mascara on your bottom lashes and regular on the top lashes. or if you want to go through the trouble, try getting make-up setting spray and it will help decrease the amount of smearing.

khol on inner lid only and liquid looks best on top lashes as close to the roots as possable with a nice flick out at the corner, most shades will be ok with ur skin tone the inner eye liner needs to be reapplied during the day for the best result keep practicing it gets easier with time to apply

What I really like to wear is the inexpensive NYC brand black pencil, it looks really pretty and not too "cheap". I have green eyes, black liner looks good on me, but I think they have several different colors. If this doesn't work, try buying a Seventeen Magazine, they usually have some pretty good make-up tips and articles.

Use liquid eyeliner. It stays on and doesn't come off. If you've never used liquid eyeliner, try to draw it as close to your eyelashes as possible. Draw little dots lining your eyelashes then draw thin little strokes to fill in the blank parts.
