Apart from the very entertaining lyrics of "Hot in Herre," (most of Nelly's lyrics are very entertaining) there is the fact that he, perhaps more than any other current hip-hop performer, carefully constructs his musical accompaniment. "Hot in Herre" is a perfect example of that. The music, independently of the lyrics, really carries you along.
