I just bought a can of it at the grocery store, And upon mixing it up in a bottle im realizing that it really smells like a fish tank. Very fishy kind of smell, yuck. Salty fish. Is this normal for everyone else that tried it?

i know formulas of all kinds all have a funk smell to them, so im wondering if this is normal for "next step". If you have a can handy take a sniff and let me know..please..lol..

it's not supposed to smell like that, call the company and they should be able to send you some coupons for a replacement.

Check the date on the can, because the powdered formula does go bad. That doesn't sound normal to me at all. Usually the soy brand smells worse than the regular kind, but even our soy formula doesn't smell like that (unless we accidentaly leave the dirty bottle in the diaper bag overnight...yuk!). I wouldn't give it to the baby, and would either call the 800 number for the company tomorrow, or take it back to the store where you bought it.

I use the soy version which smells pretty similar to the prosobee so I dont think its supposed to smell like that.
