Well, a Liberal is generally Democrat. It used to mean having a 'liberal' government, basically "a lot" of government. (at a loss for better word choice)

A liberal is someone who believes that the government is a tool that should be used to improve the lives of Americans. As opposed to conservatives who believe that the federal government should only be used to provide for defense.
The Democrats are usually seen as liberal.
The Republicans used to be seen as conservative.

It is hard to figure out isn´t it? Conservative always say Liberals are for big government and spending ,but the reality is that Bush has never vetoed a spending bill, inf}crease the national debt. and created a larger government.

The last Democratic president vetoed many many spending bills, created a budget surplus, and decreased the size of government.

Not all, but but the majority of Democrats are liberal to very liberal.

There are so many despicable qualities that describe a liberal, it's hard to begin. Maybe you should take that journey of discovery yourself and find out on your own.

Democrat. Represents bigger Federal government, more spending with more taxes, usually from the rich. Stronger government. Strict interpretation of the constitution.

Conservative is the opposite of everything I said. Republican usually, bigger state government, less spending with more tax cuts for everyone, loose interpretation of the constitution.
