Industrial electrician. I design, make, install anf fix complex electrical/ electronic controlled machinery in a fairly clean, temperature and humidity controlled factory. Wher I work we do it all. Some places specialize. I would not work there. The fun part is when something malfunctions and hard to fix. Some times I need help from the mfg tech support. We always learn something. You never know what to expect next. It is a game with me to fix something as quick as possible or to fix it so it never malfunctions again. The money is kind of nice too. I am retired, but they have me come back once in a while to help out. Though I am very old, it is nice to feel useful.

I work for the goverment.
City government.
I work at the water plant.
21 years doing the same job.
I deal with contractors that build, and tear down buildings.
I get water to them so they can do their work.
I take the source of water away when they are finished.
I work by myself. 60% indoors, 40% outdoors.
I have a nice office with a view of a lake and trees swaying in the wind.
I have a secretary.
I have a personal assistant.
I LOVE my job because it pays well, has great benefits, lifetime employment and I do not work overtime or weekends.
And there is no one trying to take my job away from me. Requires heavy lifting, something others cannot do.
PS Got the job entirely by chance. I was delivering coke to the city when the guy who was doing this job; quit! They asked me if I wanted it. Been there ever sense. Got the job by Pure Luck!!

I drive a truck all over the UK a typical day usually means early starts and late finishes , i used to enjoy it when i first started but now the traffic is so bad , road rage seems to be the norm now especially in town centres so its not a pleasure anymore.

Typical day - don't get two days the same but involves caring for seriously ill or injured people (in the ideal world)
I enjoy what i do caring for sick people and making life changing differences (sometimes)

I'm unemployed. On a typical day I fill in a few job application forms, read wanted ads and look for jobs on-line. I hate being unemployed and I want to work.

Plastic technician. I make plasticky stuff. Most of the job is stuff I have done thousands of times before and I like doing things that are easy. I don't like it when things go wrong. I have to think. Pay is great though and I like most of the people I work with.
