I was planning on donating my car to a charity called Kars4Kids, however when i was doing some research, i found that they may not be legitimate. How do I find out if they are worth donating to? If anyone has any experience with them please let me know, thanks!

Kars4Kids's money goes to J O Y For Our Youth. Follow the link below and you can read their 2005 IRS non-profit tax filing. The last page shows where they money goes. If you're fine with the list, go for it. If not, try somewhere else.

In the UK all Charitys have a registered number (example: YAHOO CAR CHARITY, registered 123456789)
Which they get, when the are an official charity, and it can be verified.
Do you have anything like this in your Country/State

BBB is a pay for service.
Guidestar should have the financials on them so you can see what operating expenses are, vs what is actually benefiting the kids
http://www.onlinecardonation.com/ seems to have been around for a while, and I have not found any negative information online.

well if they are legitimate then they should be registered with the secretary of state, and if you have any questions about their legitimacy you should call your state attorney general and ask if there have been any complaints about them or complaints of similar scams.
