do I buy an I pod? I just want something that holds a thousand songs and I can transfer my cds to the computer

Well if you want something to hold songs, videos, movies, games, photos, etc. you should get a video ipod. if you want something that can hold about 1,000 songs, I would get a Creative Zen Plus 4GB.
