you have a brilliant opinion.
Man, the Indian cricket team should be quashed now.
1.Just see,how many commercials they've been doing. The reebok ad says that 'no one can get u to play for India.'True , statement. The Indian payers took off after the money and forgot that they represented the aspirations of a billion fans.
2.The senior players need to be thrown out of the team. Just look at Sehwag, the fat man has been sitting at the top, refusing to budge.,he scores a 100 against Bermuda and says that a100 is a 100 , his achievement is great >wah!!!
Then comes, the greatest batsman of all time, the great great great Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, who scored a nought in the all important game against Sri Lanka.
These are followed by our poster boy Mahender Singh Dhoni. A very promising youngster, I must say.Perhaps he should leave cricket and take up a career in films. i'm sure his wavy hair will make him an instant hit. Running after pretty girls in the movies, that would be better for him.
Kumble , Bhajji, Yuvi, all to be thrown out. The power-hungry BCCi has to be dissolved, a new board formulated in its place, presided over by some legendary indian cricketer.
3.Just look at the Australian side.Age has not caught up with them. Every one of them contributes in some way or the other to team.I'm sure that money-for-work approach with constant threats will help in keeping out non-entities out of team India.
As to GURU GREG, i'm still not sure what is to be done.
Perhaps he was the conspirator after all , being from Australia, his constant experiments destroyed players like Pathan and helped Australia.
DOWN WITH THE BCCI, DOWN WITH NON-ENTITIES LIKE SEHWAG AND TENDULKAR, DOWN WITH THE TEAM MANAGEMENT,
team india has let down the aspirations of a billion fans I say!!!

Well, most of the players are on the way of retirement. The big man Sachin Tendulkar, the worst player of the era who is called master blaster could not manage to trouble the score board in his final WC match as he knew the importance of the match, & he did is knowingly, just to take revenge agaianst Rahul Dravid. Well, I think the players like, Sachin, Sewag, Gangualy, Rahul, Ajit A., Yuraj, Kumble needs to be retired now, as there is nothing much left in them so get some new younge faces & make them play lot, so that in the next WC we can have some chances. Lastly, the coach needs to stay the same, now in this case, what should a coach say & do when the master blaster got out for ZERO, the coach cannot start from the basics for all the players, nor it is his duty. Also Mr. Pawar needs a kick on his back & needs to be sent back, as he is not at all fiting for the post. Also please get Kapil ot Srinath J. as our bowling coach & for fielding get Jonti Rods. My best wishes to team India, atleast now realise your mistakes, that you lost because you fell out of practise & most of the time you people were busy with the ads, media modeling, etc.

Agarkar had taken the wicket of Sanath Jayasuriya three times but the umpire did not give an lbw decision. Why don't they use 3rd umpire (hawk-eye) for such decisions? This would have been crucial for India. Zahir Khan was plain unlucky and we can't take the luck out of sports.
However Agarkar was the man on fire. Bowling beautifully he had the Sri Lankans tied in knots so our brilliant captain gives him one over less, lets him completely cool off and then hands the ball over for the last over. Is the man a complete moron? Tendulkar and crowd should also be seriously contemplating settling in an old folks home.
Finally, there should be a CBI enquiry into the BCCI's methods of holding on to power & money. They have completely discredited themselves and must be replaced in toto

I read somewhere. that when Lance Klusner was asked about South African exit from world cup 1999, he replied back saying, did any1 die. I think its 1 of the best response..well today no1 died, but a billion indian fans spread across the globe are upset. We are upset as our team had the potential but cudn't utilize it. Anyways now that's history now, like many other world cup and tounament exits. Although many people would bring out more important issues than cricket, but let me focus just on cricket. so we lost what. now nothing, in a picture perfect world, the team would come back sit down and figure out what went wrong. wud try to make sure that in the forthcoming matches, they do not repeat such mistakes. but this is not a picture perfect world. so what next...well a few mob violence across the country, then in 15 days we will forget. after that our "beloved" sportsmen will back in TV and we will be glued to our TV sets waiting for the next series....

Greetings!
I just had a look at the results of the streetcricket poll for the
game between India and Sri Lanka. And to my surprise I noticed that I
am the only one who predicted the correct result. (Do I win a prize?
:) Just joking...)
As it happens, I am familiar with both teams, and in fact India would
be closer to my heart, as I have lived in New Delhi for years and
worked all over the sub-continent. But in contrast to the other
participants in the poll, whose choice might have been directed by
their heart's desire, I looked at the question purely on the basis of
the teams recent form, fitness and match performance. Those gave Sri
Lanka a clear advantage.
Take for example the performance of both teams versus Bangla Desh:
While India was comprehensively beaten by Bangla Desh, Sri Lanka
dominated and the Bangla Desh XI looked clearly outclassed.
It is always nice to remember past days of glory, but it appears that
at present neither India nor Pakistan are at their best, while Sri
Lanka, a former World Cup winner like India, plays with consistency
and the form of Bangla Desh depends on their opponent's strength and
skills.
Before the start of the World Cup I did not expect that both Pakistan
and India would be out after the first round (unless Bangla Desh is
beaten by the Bahamas, which I would regard as unlikely). But seeing
them play against supposedly weaker teams and performing poorly has
shown us all that Cricket is still a very vibrant game, capable of a
good few surprises. In amateur Cricket, where I officiate as umpire,
one sees such surprises even more often, and personally I find that
they keep the game and its spirit alive.
In the build-up to the current World Cup there were many voices that
argued against the presence of the minor teams (or "minnos", as some
still call them). But I think that they are contributing a great deal
of colour and diversity to the tournament. And even though one might
reasonably argue about the standard of the Bahamas and Canada, teams
like Ireland (where I now live and work), the Netherlands and Scotland
have shown a lot of potential for future development and improvement.
Here in Ireland, with a population of ca. 4 million, there are about
10,000 active cricketers, some of them of very high standard. But it
is a complete amateur sport with very little funding and even less
public exposure in the media. However, after the tie with Zimbabwe and
the spectacular win against Pakistan (which - by chance - happened on
Ireland's national day, St. Patrick's Day) everyone is talking now
about Cricket and the newspapers cannot get enough of it. I am certain
that the participation in the World Cup and the surprising success of
the team will do wonders for Cricket in Ireland. And even though it is
Ireland's first ever appearances on the world stage (they only played
their very first ODI versus England last year at Stormont) I predict
that international Cricket will see more of the Ireland XI.
I wish you all a happy weekend and further joy with the World Cup,
despite the sad and tragic death of Bob Woolmer, that casts a dark
shadow over it. I was fortunate to have known Bob personally over a
number of years, and he will be missed by many players, officials and
followers of our great game.

I always said that this team is incapable of facing any quality bowling. Be it lanka or Bangladesh. Even if they would have won this somehow they would have never gone far, they would have only delayed their return. It is high time Dravid stepped down and remove people who consistently failed. No explanation needed from the Indian team because by now everyone knows what are the problems they have in them.
What I suggest is to move on from here and NEVER PUT HIGH HOPES IN THE INDIAN TEAM, only time will tell what they have learnt from these failures and what steps (if at all) they are going to take for this.
But I seriously hope none of those faces appear on tv commercials again and again to bug me !

India's loss of tournament prepare & sequence being held in SL yet its unlike those green grave yards, so India won't start up brightly. i'm unaware of their itinerary, if T-20 occurs first up, then anticipate a chop up sequence. India could be aggressive in ODI's for helpful. It isn't one sided for helpful, that technologies does not exist in SL nevertheless. solid luck to the two the communities & wish team India supplies sufficient opposition, to make it a fascinating day trip and might the extra effective team prevail..

Yes, the entire team and the selection board must be fired. Bring in new players, so that we can play the next world cup without any shame!

They played without any proper game plan. Too many extras were conceded by the Bowlers. Choice of Harbhajan Singh to Anil Kumble was baffling. Virender Sehwag and Yuvaraj Singh were not given opportunity to bowl. When Harbhajan Singh was conceding too many runs without taking any wicket, Sehwag and Yuvaraj Singh should have been given few overs.
Even the target of 254 runs was not a huge target and could have been achieved. Batsmen played without proper application and dedication.
All in all it is one of the worst performance I have seen from Indian side and with such performance they do not deserve any place in Super 8.

Just by talking to our self is not going to make any difference to them one way to show the difference is stop using the products they advertise for, that is how corporate companies will know how to with draw the money they are making when they don't have the money from commercials they will play for man of the match money or man of the series money i think there should be India wide citizens ban on products advertised by cricket players
