tomorrow is our first track meet of the season. it is the golden ram at this university and many schools are coming .i have to run in two events. the 100 m and 200 m races. (i am a sprinter) the problem is my knee is injured and hurts a lot when i am running therefore not allowing me to run fast. my school triner wrapped my knee abd told me to run with ym knee wrapped tomorrow. but thats gonna slow me down a lot. should i take of the wrapping and put minreal ice on ym knee to numb it before i run? is there anything else i should do? i relly dont want to do poorly. i dont wanna come in last place. i am so nervous. what should i do. anyone have any suggestions?

How slowed down do you think you'll be with an ACL tear? And for how long? And do you not think that it is possible that the decision you make about this could affect your knee for the better part of your life? Today in my office I had a 23 year old man with arthritis in both knees to the point that he is having trouble working...and it came from sports injuries in high school. Blow your knee now for a single sports event and live your better years with limitations and/or pain. You decide.

Do what your trainer says, you take off that wrap and you could cause serious injury that only surgery will take care of.
