NGK spark plugs are the best for your '98 civic. I have used NGK platinum plugs in 4 out of the 5 Hondas I have owned. They are superior to just about every type of plug I have used. I have had good luck with Bosch platinum but the price difference is substantial. If money isn't really the object then the Bosch plugs might be the better choice. The choice is yours.

NO, do not use NGK for your Honda. I would suggest Bosch Gold. NGKs are known to break off and go into the cylinder chamber after a certain temperature is reached. Sometime the NGK plugs do not seat properly and can cause the car to have an electrical short causing major damage to the vehicles wiring.

Yes. Go with NGK V-Power ZFR5F-11. Forget NGK Laser Platinum and NGK Iridium IX. Use V-Power ZFR5F-11, and change them every 30,000 miles or earlier. Don't use Bosch Platinum Plus on the Civic DX.

Only 2 Spark Plugs are good for the Civic. NGK and DENSO. Both are the best for the Civic, top of the line for NGK is Platinum while for Denso its Iridium. Stay away from Bosch.
