When dressing like your from a decade, a great idea is to use inspiration from one of the style or pop icons of that time. Put on a poofy skirt, tons of jewelry, and some lace gloves and you're like Madonna! Or you could try dressing like Cindi Lauper, Boy George...etc. Just type in any of those names in google and check out the first image you find. It'll work.
Or, if you don't have a problem with shopping online, just go to Ebay and type in "80's skirts", "80's tops" - stuff like that.
If you don't have the time for that, just raid your closet and you should find something. Bright colors - lime greens, purples. Funky jewelry. Leg warmers, if you have some colorful socks to spare, you could easily cut the ends to make them into leg warmers. And most importantly, tease your hair and use tons of hair spray to make it as huge as possible.

I would definately do the 80's Madonna look. Go to a used clothing shop. Frilly short skirts, tank tops, puffy hairdo, lots of makeup, lots of necklaces, bracelets (preferably jelly bracelets). Here is a link that may help, good luck!

Punk rock was in, in the 80's. I will date myself.
I remeber going out one nite to a social dance at a community center. Small town. Purple pants, colorful shirt, black high boots with fringe, and a stand up hair due. Dont forget the makeup. thick and thicker.
those were good times.
have fun.

Big, permed layered hair was in. A cheap wig will do but not short like an old lady's, it has to be at least medium length. Maybe something like this or even tighter curls.

I made a polyvore, even even though it does not permit me save it. Sidecca is a save that has a good form of 80's stuff... attempt bright, neon, leggings or tights, how approximately neon pink. footwear: Lime green extreme-tops. Skirt: a form of frilly tutu skirt element, the lacy ones. real: An off the shoulder real. upload-ons: a good form of colourful bangles and such, in step with hazard some fishnet gloves. be certain to paint your nails a cool shade. Separate your hair into various distinctive sections and braid them tightly, leave it like that for the period of a single day so your hair would be all kinked out. And, blow dry/ gently brush your hair out the different way up in a single day. It provides quantity. in case you have and temporary hair-dye, or clip-on colored extensions, this is a outstanding touch. finally, pay attention to all your fashionable 80's hits to get interior the temper... And there you're. An 80's punk princess. OH AND. Wayfarers. on the spot 80's.
