either really - you can get nice buns or bad temperamented buns of any sex really. if you get a rabbit from a rescue they will able to be able to tell you which buns they have in which are more gentle and less agressive! also getting one from a shelter means they will be vaccinated and also often spayed/neutered aswell. and plus u will be giving the bun a new forever home. or get a pair of buns! its lovely to see two rabbits snuggle upto each other and play. rabbits are very social animals and will get bored if they dont have alot of human interaction or that of another bun!
best of luck i love my buns sooo much and think they are amazing.

Rabbits are high maintenance pets. Whether you get a male or female, the first thing you must do when they reach a certain month (please get information from an animal clinic that see exotic pets) is get them spayed/neutered. Both sexes behave in the same way, they will try to hump whether it's your arm or leg and they do squirt bodily fluids. It's because they are hormonal, after they are fixed they calm down. Both sexes are fine.

In dealing with rabbits, I found that neutered males made the best companions; they're calmer and tend to allow affection better than females or unneutered males. They also have a tendency to be overweight and aren't as active, though.

Go for the male. Males of that species are usually more docile and friendly. I used to own rabbits. The female bite, especially when pregnant or nursing.

Female, becuase males get teritorial when they mature and if not nuetered they can spray. Males also grunt and are most likely not as nice as girls. My friend has a male and I have a female. I think my rabbit is cooler and her rabbit is kinda boring. So, I say get a female - your choice though.

We have a neutered male that is a great pet. Either is fine - just get them fixed to calm them down.

I have a female dutch rabbit and she hasn't been a problem. If you only have one, sex shouldn't be an issue.
