It works perfectly fine when I use it in Safe Mode [/with Networking] but when I shut down the computer or restart it after it being in Safe Mode Windows won't boot up. It will go through the normal startup and then right before it gets to the screen where it chimes and my cursor appears, it stops and the screen goes blank. Could it be just the monitor I need to replace or does anyone think it's the computer?.. Sometimes Windows does boot normally but for the past couple of days it hasn't.

sounds to me as if u have a bad driver
when u start windows in safe mode...it only loads the bare essentials to start windows..
my guess.....unplug all the usb adapters...printers..camera's ..what ever u have...then try to log on with just mouse..keyboard..internet

Something is wrong but we'll need more info to properly diagnose your system. Your ram or hard drive could be failing, or maybe just a part of Windows is corrupt. You could be slathered with spyware and other malicious coding too.
In safe mode, click on start then run. Type in 'sfc /scannow' to try to fix your system files. In a worst case situation, to eliminate any hardware issues, a re-install of Windows will make all software issues go away.
