If someone stole food to live, because he/she couldnt afford food, then no I dont consider her/she a bad person.
However, they should find a job and get some money.
But if you're looking for a better answer, specify your question. But...
Generally, no stealing for survival doesn't make he/she a bad person.
Hell, I dont think stealing period makes a person bad.

No it does not. Perfect, remember when people were getting in trouble in New Orleans after Katrina for looting? I do not think that makes them a bad person.. they just want to survive and I think it was bad that some of them got in trouble. I mean what did they want them to do? Starve to death. So no it does not make them a bad person.

think of the totality of the circumstance...
If it's food and it's needed..then I would say no. There are ways to get what you need and not steal.
I have never denied a human being food. Money...yes...but food no.
I have even offered clothes to a few homeless...they were happy to get what I gave them.
It's better to ask for something.....it's never a good policy to steal. You'd probably get more by asking anyway.

That's a tough one, because stealing is never the right thing to do, but if it's for food or water, especially if there are little ones involved, I can live with that.

depends what they steal...if they steal food or water to live...not necessarily. If they steal a little bit of money to buy those things, then maybe, but if they rob a bank or something....YES

In this day and age....there are many opportunities to get food and clothing etc....however, I will admit that in some circumstances if I was starving with no resources and it was a matter of me saying alive for one more day...I would steal food.

No as long as they are only taking what they need to survive. That is how life works, we all take what we need to actually survive and there is nothing wrong with that.

I think if their stealing to feed themselves then it's ok but I have known people to steal food and sell it so they can buy drugs or alcohol

If they let themselves starve to death that would not be good. But if they steal to stay alive then it is not that bad. They are just hungry. Stealing food is better then starving to death.
