They have taken the first step already. Where have you been?
When the Social Security Act was passed, one of the major provisions was that the Social Security Number was never to be used for any other purpose.
Try doing anything important today without that number and see how far you get.
Nest will be putting an intelligent stripe on the back to contain all of your personal, medical and financial data. Of course, it will also have a GPS chip in it, so that they can find you any time they want to.
