Quite honestly, I'd never heard of this woman before you posted the previous question. I'm not sure why you are trying to promoter her. However, it was easy to Google and find a web site.
http://www.anncoulter.com/cgi-local/welcome.cgi
I didn't read to far until I realized that this must be a much thinner and much more attractive person than "Rush Limbaugh." Here is the frist quote I read:
"No matter how much liberals try to dress up their nutty superstitions about global warming as 'science,' which only six-fingered lunatics could doubt, scratch a global warming "scientist" and you get a religious fanatic. "
I'll try to answer your questions now:
"Why is Coulter a best seller?"
She obviously has a flair with words and a sustained disrespect for her fact checker. This seems to work for Rush also.
"If she is usually trash talking- why doesn't Rosie O Donnell or some YA Troll write a best seller too? "
I understand from a previous post that Rosie has stated her position that "9/11 was an inside job" along with several other celebrities. Perhaps she has too much integrity to sell her sole for a quick buck.
"Saying she's no good doesn't make sense- If a restaurant is packed 7 days a week- someone is doing something right."
I agree with you completely. That's why McDonalds, Wendy's, and Burger King are always packed. The food is packed with fat and tastes great, but it's really not very good for you. One warning to you... You can get very sick over time by eating only junk food... In other words, we are talking about wacko conservative junk food talk show hosts.
I don't think you can judge quality by their popularity. Otherwise,Vincent Van Goge, would have been as wealthy as Anne Coulter.

I believe that Ann Coulter is a best seller for the very reasons why i admire her so...because she speaks her mind and supports her argument with FACT, not assumptions or her own personal belief system. Rosie O'Donnell (or some other YA Troll) also has strong beliefs, the difference is that her beliefs are very opinionated and based on emotions and not fact....and that is where I feel very sorry for her. Simple research, which is very easy to do these days, would help Ms. O'Donnell a great deal!

Look at how many issues of the gossip rags they sell in the stores. The bottom line is that a large portion of the American population has been dumbed down. They still support the worst President in the history of this country and think Rush Limbaugh is Jesus Christ. Apparently you don't have to sell a hell of a lot of books to get on a best sellers list.
Ann Coulter spews hate. The conservatives love hate even though they claim to be Christians. Its like they read the teachings of Jesus and do just the oppisite.
Tell me Ann talks about her religion all of the time. What do you think Jesus would think of the crap and hate that comes out of her mouth. She is a hypocrite extreme.

I thought Rosie did have a best seller a few year's ago? I don't keep up with books that much, so maybe I'm mistaken? but her show was HUGE (no. 1 in the ratings) when she was on it...
and Michael Moore's movies and books gross tons of money...
and al Franken's books are best sellers too...
does that mean that they are right? no...
it means that they are saying what people want to hear... in a way that people want to hear it...
same with Coulter... Rush, Hannity and the rest...
and if a "restaurant" is popular... it means that many people like that food or it's just "popular"... not that the food is "good"... it's all opinion... if you don't like seafood, you don't want to eat at the best seafood restaurant in the world...

Good follow up point!
Well, for the same reason Michael Moore's "Documentaries" are the highest grossing "documentaries" in Hollywood. They pander to their extremist base that hates the other side.
Both Michael & Ann have built ardent, almost fanatical cult followings. These people will buy anything their idols put out, books, documentaries, seminars/lectures, coffee mugs, you name it!
Yes, Ann is doing something right business-wise; pandering to the base. She's a smart business woman, I'll give her that. She knows how to promote herself (albeit negatively).
But just because she's a smart business woman doesn't mean what she does is ok.

Anne is like a sideshow in a P T Barnum's circus, you don't really want to be a freak or live with the freaks but damn they're fun to watch, that's her appeal in her writing, she actually has a great deal more in common with Howard Stern than Tolstoy for sure, it's that whole shock jock appeal of saying and doing the forbidden, hell if you think about it Ann's kinda liberal in her free speech ain't she, what's worse is that some who read her join the sideshow and evade all responsibility to society by embracing the false ideals she proposes

It is a supply and demand thing...
There is a certain percentage of the population that find confrontational humor entertaining. Since there are more liberals than conservatives engaging in this type of entertainment, and there are roughly the same number of liberals and conservatives that pay attention to this, it stands to reason that fewer conservatives entertainers would receive more attention individually than the greater number of liberals would receive.

I agree with Ann Coulter when she says; "People are hysterical about speech right now,"... "Everyone's comments are being taken out of context and wildly misinterpreted."

People like reading Ann's books like people like reading the supermarket tabloids. They know there is a credibility gap in the reporting, but it is good trash reading.
