I used to run in track in highschool and it never effected me in anyway. If you are experiencing cramps I would recommend using advil or midol to relieve the pain. Running while on your period is actually good for your blood system, it keeps the blood flowing which intern means less pain! Hopefully I ve helped. Good luck! :)

Your period should not affect your running and vice versa. Your period is a natural thing and everyone gets it eventually. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned. When you do get your period, you may get cramps in your sides while running but take a break and breathe deeply. Wear tampons to help you run easier. You should to a woman who walks at a pharmacy like walgreens to see which kind of tamponis best for athletes. Hope this helps!

At first, your period may cause you to feel bloated, or like you don't want to do anything. But it is a fact that running and other exercise can help reduce pain from cramps, and improve your overall mood. You should definitely stick with running, it will help your period much more than your period will hurt you running.

The running might help with cramps. Docs recommend staying active (as much as possible) and staying hydrated will reduce the effects of cramps. Maybe at first, you might not want to cause it's just so new...but it should fade when you are used to "Aunt Flo"...as some people tend to call it.

well, some women cramp really bad..for example I do. It's really painful, but I take two tyonol...and use tampons(find the one that fits u best). With this your running won't effect your period(it might make it lighter), but u can start to run...as long as u take car of the pain...don't worry about it.

yes it will affect you, you will start to cramp up. i run just about every day (I'm 25) and i get stomach cramps while running on my period. just be tough, press on your cramp really hard (while running) with one hand and in a minute or so it should dissapear.

i don't think of so. My chum used to not artwork out in any respect then she began to flow working and did not have her era for 6 months.. there's a attractiveness for that yet i don't comprehend what that is. i think of that exercising shortens your era and makes it lighter. I easily have continuously heard that ladies human beings might desire to exercising on their classes.
