Kobe may have higher scoring games here & there but as you can see, Iverson is the more consistant scorer. I can't see how Kobe is a better scoring. Iverson's career average, scoring titles, & playoff career average is ALOT better!

DO NOT MENTION KOBE AND RINGS, KOBE CANNOT WIN RINGS WITHOUT SHAQ PERIOD! and second, Allen Iverson is a way better offensive player than Kobe, Allen Iverson is a point guard and yet scores around 30 points a game, and have 8 ast per game.

Well, look at Iverson's career attempts vs. Kobe's career attempts. Iverson has taken about 4 more shots per game than Kobe. Then you look at Iverson's career pct. and it's about 42%, so figure the fg percentage into those 4 shots, and that gives him an extra 3 or 4 points per game, which is what he's avg. more than Kobe career wise.

You also have to take into consideration their teammates. Kobe had to play with Shaq most of his career, and you know Shaq was getting his shares of shots, while Iverson didn't really have anyone else that was taking a lot of shots, so Iverson took most of the shots, so that's why he's got more 40+ pts. playoff games.

Just out of curiosity, but why are you only including only the NBA finals stats? or is that the NBA playoff stats?

I still think Kobe is the better scorer because he can make things happen, and he can completely take over a game.

Allen Iverson was the only thing the Sixers had for 10 years. I'm a Sixers fan, and I couldn't stand watching Iverson vs. _____ every night. Kobe's a ball-hog too, but not so much as Allen. Now that A.I.'s in Denver, he'll never win another scoring title. Kobe has a better all-around game, including more explosive in the air, better on the turn-around jumpers and he's really starting to find his rhythm from behind the arc. I don't really love either player, but I think Kobe's the more "complete" scorer.

Kobe is the better scorer overall. Kobe puts the ball in the basket with 3's, dunks, the fade away, the fancy lay up, and can hit from the free throw line with a career of 84%. He is also one of the most clutch players in the league. Don't forget the three rings!!! A.I is one of the greatest small scorers... but he isn't consistent from the three, he has been surrounded by mediocre players giving him more scoring opportunities, while Kobe was competing with shaq for points and now Lamar Odom. A.I is great but cannot compete with Kobe in scoring.... I also guess you haven't been following Kobe's game because he scored 65, then 50, then 60, and today against the hornets hes got 19 in 12 minutes!!! Kobe is also leading the league in scoring with 30.5 and i see A.I down in 5th. Allen may be good but Kobe may just be GREAT!

Iverson has always hogged the ball when he was with the Sixers, while Kobe shared the rock with teh "Diesel". NOw that Kobe can hogged the ball more he is showing what he can do if he is the go to guy like Iverson has been for most of his career. Iverson's career shooting percentage is 40.2%, while Kobe's is 43.8%

HMMMMMMM..........Kobe did'nt lead the league in scoring,
in his early career because he was to busy passing the ball to Shaq....and winning championships!....did'nt need to score a whole lot in the playoffs/ Finals..because by halftime the Lakers were up by 20 and he could relax!.....but now it's a little different...he'll lead the league in scoring ...again.......
he'll show everybody..that dropping 50 is common....yawwwwwn.......
...55..65...70...81....yawwwwn
who cares......heres to 50pts bieng the new 40pts for Kobe!..

Kobe = the greatest offensive/scorer today!...to easy..to easy..
