Considering that there are people in the USA that are mad that black people simply exist, it's safe to say that a black president will anger some people not only here but in other parts of the world. Do we care though? So long as he is fairly elected and has substantive plans to improve our country and try to undo some of the damage the current administration has caused, then I for one will be pleased.

I've wondered this myself, because despite living in the 21st century, there is still a lot racism in the USA.
I would hope people would be inclined to like or dislike him because of his politics and not the color of his skin, but I also think that's unrealistic.
All in all, yes, there will be some people who will be mad if he becomes the president, but I think most people will not be mad..

for you dip sticks who are pushing to get obama elected ,just read how the blacks have destroyed South Africa and Rhodesia, and every other place they have gained control,
do you think Obamb will be any different from McGuavy or Nelson Mandella or any of the other blacks who have gained control over a industrious Nation state city or ? is this what you want America to become , why the hell don't you get your black loving **** out of America and go to Africa or some place where you will be happy shoveling potty for them, and leave America to white industrious people

There is to much resentment of black people by white people for him to win. It's even worse that he's half black because black people will consider him an "oreo" and think he's a sell out.

Not all white or black people think that way, but a lot do. You don't have to be vocal about hating someone to hate them.

No. I think that there will be great concern about what he is going to do for the american people. Especialy since he is a man of color, and that there are closed minded people who dont like change.

Well, obviously the majority won't be.

But there are still a lot of racists out there who haven't had the good grace to drop dead yet.
