He's adorable, and yet some animal rights activist wanted to kill him, Why? because he was rejected by he's mother bear.

The animal right activist consider that "It is not correct to bottle-feed a small polar bear. He will always be fixated on his keeper and will never grow to be a proper polar bear,"

I think the animal activists in this case are CraZy. We raise animals all the time in domestic environments after they are rejected by their mothers or if their mothers are killed. Why have they fixated on this zoo kept polar bear? Poor thing - I hope he can have a good life!

In my view, that animal rights activist is not a real animal rights activist. Animals have the right to live. And since Knut was born in captivity... maybe that somehow impacted the mother's decision to abandon him. Who knows, if they had been out in the wild, that wouldn't have happened. No matter what, I feel that the responsible thing to do would have been to keep the cub alive. Besides, I doubt they're going to release him in the wild anyway, where he'd be a "proper" polar bear.

Yes, i heard about that on the news, i think it is horrible! The number of polar bears is decreasing day by day and they want to just kill him??He is very cute, and if there is some one with the time, the room, the responsibility, and the love to bottle feed and raise a polar bear, then i say hand knut over!Who knows, in his life span, he can createe five-10 more polar bears, who can the creat more....... why kill him when they need a boost in population? If they are not going to do anything about the melting ice caps an global warming, then they need to help this little cub!

I think it doesn't matter if people feed Knut by a bottle. What's more important? Having the Polar Bear live and be healthy? Or having it die being a "proper" polar bear?
