It starts out kind of feeling tingly and then I get a noticible swelling on my mouth/lip area. Any ideas what this is or what could be causing it. this is the 3rd time in 2 weeks it's happened.
Thanks

I had a big allergic reaction a couple of weeks ago and am still getting hives time to time. In the ER I was told swollen lips, hives and rash are from food or anything ingested. I went on a series of meds but I still don't know what caused it. You gotta go to an allergist and keep a food/drink diary maybe you can narrow down what causes the reaction. But don't try to test yourself, because you could have a severe reaction and end up in the ER.

Have you perhaps, sprayed anything in your bedroom recently, that might be on your pillow...causing an allergic reaction? Have you changed detergent or fabric softener?

I'm asking because a few years ago, we had a flea problem and I bombed my apartment. I aired it out and thought everything was fine until I took a nap on the couch a few hours later. When I woke up, the inside of my cheek and my lip were swollen.

Two weeks later, I bombed again (you're supposed to do it twice) and this time, I woke up the next morning with the same problem after rolling over in the night, and resting my head on a throw pillow I had on the bed.

Is there a chance that you've bitten yourself there?

If not, and if there are no old injuries in the area, see a doctor.

Good luck.

Have you been eating shell fish? If you are, then that's how the allergic reaction is... Otherwise, I have no idea.

Are you having an allergic reaction to something? Food or drink? or maybe a lotion or something?
