nothing i have read online works i losen the two bolts and but a screw driver in the 2 slots next to the sproket and pull but it dosent budge either way!!!!!please help

I think something is wrong. Are you in the correct hole?

I can only tell you that I have a Rebel and this is how you tighten the chain.

put cycle on sidestand, make sure it is in neutral, engine off.
Loosen the rear axle nut.
Loosen the drive chain lock nuts on both sides of the swingarm.
Turn both drive chain adjusting nuts an equal number of turns until the corredt drive chain slack is obtained.
Turn the drive chain adjusting nuts clockwise to tignten the chain, or counterclockwise to give more slack.
Adjust the chain slack at a point midway between the drive sprocket and the rear wheel sprocket.
Roll the cycle forward. Stop and place it on its side stand. Recheck chain slack.
On my Rebel, the chain slack should allow the following vertical movement by hand: 9/16 - 1 in (15-25mm)
