I've been having bad dreams ever since I can remember, and I seem to get them more than I've heard anybody else get them before. I've screamed, cried, had panic attacks, and have felt in pain after my dreams. I try looking up things on the internet and asking people what my dreams mean, but nobody can figure out. I just want to know why I have such a bad reaction to bad dreams, and why I have so many. Whenever I had a good dream though, it's all mythical and fantasy related. 19/20 of my good dreams or bad dreams could never happen in real life. Is there something wrong with me? If you want some examples of my good and bad dreams, I'll tell you them, it may really help. So please, help...

That's another problem, what I think about at night... What I think about keeps me awake for hours, sometimes freaks me out. That didn't really start though until recently. Before, I always thought about the good things.

Ok, this may sound off the wall, but it sounds like you really need help... take it or leave it. I have also had many lucid dreams since I was a kid, and most of them have actually meant something. Not like predictions, necessarily, but I journal and have found they represent things I'm going through emotionally or even physically, but most just reflect my feelings about things.

Anyway, when I was younger, my mom told me to say this to myself and really believe it. No, it's not some crazy chant or anything, but it really honestly helped me. "God has not given us a sprit of fear, but a spirit of love, power, and a sound mind." I really emphasized the sound mind part, becuase I felt dreaming so vividly so often was not normal.

After a while, my dreams became less painful, and I definitely was more at peace when I would go to bed. I still am! I continue to journal and sometimes have dreams that bother me, but not like I used to though. I've never since felt the fear or lack of peace or pain as I did before.

Honestly, it might be spiritual. Try to focus on that verse for a few weeks and see what happens. You don't have to be a Christian for God to give you peace. Email me if you have any other questions or concerns... I'd love to help if I can!

Dreams are mostly on what you thought of the night before. Try to have positive thoughts and you won't have to worry.
