If you are getting payed to do the job, howcome you need to pay to get started?
Isn't there anything out there where there is no fee? I've been told if the company is legitimate, that they shouldn't ask for money from you

You are correct - a home based JOB should not require any money or application fees. However, I have come across some legitimate companies that offer telecommuting jobs in customer service that do require you to pay for your own background check. On the other hand, a home BUSINESS will involve some type of start-up costs, whether for your website and business materials provided by the company, or any advertising fees you incur from promoting your business.

Personally my home online income from the net is derived from blogs and websites. I promote them and make some money through adsense. I have not had to pay for anything as it is all free. Its better than surveys etc.
