I was wondering what part of Myrtle Beach was more family friendly? Can you help?

I have heard North Myrtle was. Never been so I don't know.

Yes, North Myrtle Beach is more family friendly...but so is the north end of Myrtle Beach (city limits) from around 21st avenue north....check out the Dayton House Resort at 2500 N. Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach. Very family friendly and rated 6th by trip advisor (which is good). As you get closer to downtown and South Ocean Blvd, it starts to get grungier and less family friendly.
