I hope you visit both campuses, and the towns they are in. They are both relatively laid back. UC Davis is academically practically equivalent to Berkeley, but in most classes people are not cutthroat and will help each other. Not sure if they still do it, but UCSC used to have a no-grades policy, with written evaluations instead. This is a problem for going to grad school, but it is possibly a better way to teach.

Socially, UCSC has more drug use, and SC is an awesome town. UCD seems to have slightly more Greek life (although it is still not a major part of campus life) and it is the only college town in CA, so almost everyone in Davis is a student or works at UCD. SC is closer to the beach, and the campus is gorgeous, while Davis is closer to the mountains but gets really hot in the summer.

I would suggest Davis, because it is stronger academically.

for the reason which you're experienced with college now moreso than say a freshman precise out of high school may well be (for the reason which you're a flow pupil), i might genuinely might desire to declare UC Davis. i think of you may guard the workload and you gets a extra ideal effect after graduating from that school easily as against UC Santa Cruz. that's not comparable to you're a freshman as we communicate out of high school who's finding for the "college adventure" and the exciting and video games and partying. you're previous that now. i might say UC Davis arms down.

The school that has the better social environment - as my cousins have told me - is UCSC.

Good Luck!!!
