I was wondering if anyone knew of the name and/or contact information for a program around Columbus that has a 'points' program for pregnant women. I just found out we are expecting our first child. One of my co-workers told me that you get 'points' for going to your doctor appointments and checking in. Then, you can cash in thepoints for free baby stuff. That's how she said she got her car seat because she went to their childbirth programs and such. Anyone know?

caresource has something like that , where u get your dr tto sign a paper at every appointment and u send the signed papers for gift cards to like walmart and stuff. try calling the local job and family services for more info on what your asking. also if you already have a case worker for medicaid or such, u cna ask them as well. i would totally recomment the ohio help me grow program, its form pregnancy till 3 yrs old. its an awsome program, they offer playdates and stuff. and a worker comes and sees u once a month and u get free stuff and alot of information. i love it and will keep it as long as i can. also with help me grow after 3 u automatically qualify for head start. its like pre preschool. good luck on the pregnancy

The program I am referring to happens if you chose Caresource. I am currently pregnant with baby number three and my sons and I are covered under this plan. The insurance company sends you a pregnancy packet that has a coupon for each trimester. If you go to all your scheduled appointments, you have your doctor or midwife sign it and you can send it to the insurance company which in turn sends you a gift card. Once you have your baby, you get another packet with coupons for taking your baby to all the well care checks.

I just thought of another program too. My aunt is a social worker so she keeps me in the loop to all these deals. There is a class you can take on infant safety and they will give you a free car seat when its completed. My aunt and grandmother went through them just because and now have car seats just in case they're ever needed!
