I have yet to seen them. Most say it's good to great but said the second was not that good and there was a fight scene that was done twice in it.

The first one was fab, the second was a disappointment because it was all about setting up the 3rd movie, so it had a ridiculous ending that made sure a brain dead monkey could figure out what was happening.

I liked the first one. It took Hollywood back to the good ol' swashbuckling pirate days of swaggering men with mugs of ale and the sea in their heart.
Did not so much care for the second one....the plot was all over the place, the jokes were simply recycled ones from the first movie...and there were just way too much CGI for it to feel remotely real. I think they should have just stopped with the first one (same with The Matrix).
You should at least watch the first one. Only see the second (and upcoming third) if you really feel the need to follow the characters on their next adventure.

Ya both are really good. I reccommend both of them for all ages. Accept for in the second one where Johnny Depp is making out with Keira Knightley. The last movie Pirates of the Carribean At Worlds End is coming out on May 25 so I am probably going to see it. So you really need to see them.

The first one was great. I have seen it 5 or 6 times. The second one was a big disappointment to me.

I like the Pirates of the Carribean movies. I must admit that the second one was pretty long and kinda carried on the plot for waay to long but it was still good. It was kinda hard to understand with so much going on. I still want to see the 3rd movie to see what happens next,

Yes, the movies are great. You have to approach the second knowing that it's the middle movie of a trilogy. It's telling the story, preparing you for the expolosive finale.

I agree! But I can't wait for third to come out. My 4 year old loves the show, isn't a day goes by she watches the two videos. She is in love with Jack Sparrow.

I really liked the first one, and the 1st half of the 2nd one. Towards the end of the 2nd one, you can tell that they are just dragging the story on to make a 3rd movie. It kind of makes me not want to spend money to see the 3rd one.

I agree, the first one was really funny and original. But I felt like the second just dragged onnnnnnnn! It just didn't end. I know some people who liked it better though. Why don't you see it and tell us what you think?
