What would you do if a friend of yours murdered somebody?

It's a horrible situation to be in. My sister, and brother in law were both murdered. The killer was her own son, my nephew. He was 21 at the time. I miss my sister, and her murder was brutal. I loved my nephew so much, and wanted him to die. He has two life sentences without parole. He's now 28, and it's hitting him hard knowing he's a lifer. It's not easy on our family. ~~~~ PS. I understand this person is your friend, however take a few minutes to think about what the victims family is going through. Remember, their lives, like mine will never, ever, ever be the same. There's NOT one holiday that goes by that I don't think of my sister. I still go to the phone to call, and talk to her. Since her murder, my only other sister took her life. So before you feel sorry, or bad for your friend, think about what we go through every day. ~~~~~

This is one of the most horrible ways to lose a friend. There maybe situations that may make you want to consider staying friends. but not always.

I know someone who had a friend that killed his wife for the insurance money. He told me how he hoped he would never see that person again even after he served his time. He has his own wife and children to think of.

Murderers are very lonely people.

I will tell you what I did.
I was going with this guy and , he was becoming strange and I decided to break up with him. He was very mad at me ....I knew he would be but i didn't know how much.
Well he murdered a man that night , just because he was mad ......I was out ...and when I came home that night my Mother told me , that my ex had shot and killed a man then ran to my house ....{im glad i wasnt there}.....my Mom said he came in , asked to use the phone .....then he called the police, told them what he did , thanked my mom and then walked out to our front steps and cryed and waited for the police to come and get him. I have spoken with him since , and he told me he did it because he was mad , I am the only person he has told that, to all others including the police he has claimed self defense. I talked to the police , and never heard a word from them . Today i don't know what this man is doing or where he is. this was a few years ago.
thanks for the chance to tell my story there is a lot more to it ...but it isn't for questions and answers if you know what I mean.
You will be fine ..maybe never ever the same ..but time will help ...have a wonderful life and BE GRATEFULL for your life.

In all honesty I would probably tell them to tell me as little as possible. I mean, that's serious (duh) and I wouldn't wanna be dragged into it. I wouldn't want to turn my friend in, but I wouldn't want to be in an interrogation room either. I'd probably let it sit in the back of my mind, but pretend I knew nothing about it.

Also it depends on who the victim was and why the friend told this huge secret to me.

Well if he's in jail there would be nothing I could do. I wouldn't know how to react in that situation.

I am so sorry Kelly I would go to the funeral call their family to leave my sympathy, and send flowers. I hope in time the pain will heal.

I'd turn them right in. If they're bad enough to murder someone, I don't want them as a friend. Plus...I'm in school to be a cop, so from that standpoint, I'd hope people would turn in murderers.

that has happend to me, it happend one block from my house and i felt sorry for him and everything but i wasnt traumatized by it. i guess everyone leads there life however they choose too.
